Popular fast food chain Donut King have today announced that they are finalising the paperwork for an official name change, which will take effect as of 2019. The new name, Donut Person of Royalty, is viewed as a more appropriate alternative, and the Donut King executives are hoping it doesn’t offend anyone.
CEO of Donut King, Simon Cinnamon, said that the name was a result of 12 months of debate and hard work. “We’ve been considering a name change all year. We had a number of alternatives we could’ve used but we feel this is the best one for the situation. The next best option was probably Round shaped food with a hole in the middle person of royalty, however we thought the may have been a bit of a mouthful.”
Local donut enthusiast, Mark Templeman, says he is outraged by the recent debate surrounding gender laws, however it won’t affect his access to biting into a donut, so he isn’t really concerned. “What’s this I hear about half priced donuts? Wait what are we even talking about? I must be at the wrong interview. Sorry guys.”
