The popular pizza and drinks spot, Church Bar and Grill, is set to add another service to it’s repertoire. The Church Bar is a much loved location for pizza lovers, or for friends just getting together for a drink or 10. However due it it’s name, and close proximity to the Anglican Cathedral, the owners of the Church Bar have decided to begin serving communion to its customers, on the first Sunday of each month.
The decision to commence the regular service of communion has pleased many customers, including raging alcoholic Amy Ethanol. “It’s a nice touch, very classy if I don’t say so myself. I’ll probably just end up drinking the whole bottle of red but it’s the thought that counts.”
Church Bar employees are also stoked with the news, saying that it will give them a chance to ask the lord for forgiveness after a big Friday night. “When you have a big night and you’re a bit embarrassed about things you may have done, what better way is there than to participate in communion. Clean slate for the new week!”
